This Auto Claims Assistant position is a fast paced position working in a call center environment. In this role you will assist the claims department by receiving incoming calls and setting up claims in the system. You will also provide administrative and clerical support for the department. This is a long term temporary position with a potential for temp to hire.
Report Taking: Receives initial auto and homeowner insurance claims calls and documents claims in company file system. Verifies customer's coverage levels, assigns internal adjuster for inspection of property and arranges for rental vehicle (when applicable). Utilizes company guidelines and procedures to escalate file as needed.
Clerical Support: Provides administrative and clerical support for department. Including, but not limited to: attaching claims information to the electronic file, photocopying claims files and ordering police reports.
Claims Information Updates: Updates claim information obtained by third-party vendors. Makes material damage assignments providing customer adjuster information and rental car details (when applicable).
